ABOUT ME

Hello, I’m Louisa, founder of Chester & North Wales Multilingual Tours.

I was born in North Wales and moved to Brittany, France at the age of eight, where I grew up and developed a love of languages and culture. This early connection shaped my understanding of the shared Celtic heritage between Breizh and Cymru.

At twenty, I moved to Fuerteventura in Spain on my own, spending six wonderful years there. Living in the Canary Islands deepened my love of travel and exploration, and strengthened my connection to the language and culture.

I also have close ties to Italy through family, and Italian is part of my daily life at home.

As a result, I do not just speak these languages, I understand the cultures behind them through lived experience.

After many years abroad, I felt a strong sense of hiraeth drawing me back to Wales. I am now based in Chester, a wonderful place full of history (voted the most beautiful city in the world!), which I see as the perfect gateway to North Wales.

I am a qualified White Badge Tourist Guide for Wrexham, a place with a strong sense of community and a wealth of fascinating sites, including the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Pontcysyllte Aqueduct.

After working in corporate roles, I chose to return to what I love most: sharing places, stories and cultures with people from all over the world. My focus is on creating welcoming, high-quality experiences for international visitors who want to connect more deeply with Chester and North Wales.

Through my tours, I aim to share not only the highlights, but also the hidden gems, stories, communities and spirit of the region, where history, language and landscape come together in a unique way.

When I am not guiding, you will often find me outdoors, paddleboarding or wild swimming in the lakes and waterfalls of Eryri, places I love sharing with visitors. I also love travelling in my spare time, and discovering new places and cultures continues to inspire the way I guide.

I offer private, multilingual tours across Chester, Wrexham and North Wales in

English, French, Spanish and Italian.

Qualified White Badge Tourist Guide for Wrexham, accredited by Wales Best Guides.

Multilingual guiding in English, French, Spanish and Italian. I have always worked in multilingual environments and with international clients, supported by experience living and working in France, Spain and within an Italian-speaking environment. I also hold recognised language certifications in these languages and have a conversational level of Welsh and Portuguese which I continue to develop.

I provide private tours, step-on guiding and on-the-ground support for groups, travel trade partners and individual travellers across Chester and North Wales.
